Ich verfolge gerade die Berichterstattung über die umstrittene Ehrendoktorwürde (Verleihung)* für Barack Obama einer us-amerikanischen katholischen Universität, und da lese ich bei Damian Thompson, der auf dem britischen Telegraph bloggt, folgende genervte Aussage über einen Nerv-Artikel auf dem Time Magazine:

"Small but vocal group" is the the media's code for a protest that offends them. You rarely see small but vocal groups of liberals described thus.<<

*umstritten deshalb, weil Obama für Abtreibung ist und eine katholische Uni - naja, wenn sie katholisch sein will ... ich glaube, das dürfte auf der Hand liegen.

Edit: Father Z twittert gerade, dass er eine Liste hat mit mittlerweile 79 US-Bischöfen, die dagegen protestieren. Small, but vocal, das sind ... wart mal .. ein bisschen weniger als die Hälfte von allen ?
